Northern
Afghanistan, December 2005 Update
Trekking
across the district after the Taliban fell, you
would have seen only two schools still standing,
but they were in utter disrepair. Heaps of
rubble gave indications that others once existed
along the road. But traveling that same road in September of 2005, our country director had
this
to say...
As Afghanistan
emerges after years of war and deprivation, the
need for education is great. For three years
Millennium has been partnering with villages in
Northern Afghanistan to construct or repair
school buildings.

Afghan School
Project Wraps Up Another Successful Year
The year 2005 ends another successful year for
Millennium in Northern Afghanistan. Click
here for a
summary of accomplishments.
Your
gift can help bring
another new school to life. Construction is
beginning in a village recently settled by
Afghans forced to relocate because of disastrous
floods. The school is part of Millennium’s
overall community development commitment.
Knowledge is
the torch of life. Without education you will be
blind. ~~ Afghan
